Information about islands in 3 island groups:

My blob map shows how Cuba , Montserrat , Bahamas , and Jamaica are all part of the West Indies. In present day Cuba there are people that are Sharan African and people that are Afro-Cuban. In Montserrat the majority of the population is from African descent but there is still some East Indian and European ancestry. Lots of different ethnicities live in the West Indies.

Why: The reason there are so many different ethnicities in the West Indies is because many people came from many different places in the world and settled there and began a new life.
