When we got to Cardigan, we saw lots of physical geography. Most of it was common, like trees and the pond. However, when we went on the hike, we saw more than just that. Sure there were still lots of trees and leaves and water, but we also saw salamanders, rock formations, lichens, mushrooms, birds, shelf fungi, squirrels, chipmunkcs and much more. We saw a lot of maple trees when we were there. I am assuming that they were mostly Norway maples, since they are invasive. We also saw birches, beeches, pines, apple trees and more.
There was also lots of cultural geography when we were there. On the first day, we saw the lodge such as the bunk rooms, the living room, the kitchen and more. While there, we also saw bridges, portable toilets, campsites, tables, benches, the fire circle, the raft on the water and junction signs, which are all examples of cultural geography.
We were at Cardigan for 3 days, Wednesday October 4, Thursday October 5 and Friday October 6.
