Day 1

The first day of our trip to cardigan was all about doing the small hiking trails. While we were there, we observed bridges that arched over cold streams and different hiking trails, as well as changing our clothing because of the dangers of wearing cotton in a cold place. For one, bridges are built to allow humans to pass over bodies of water or other harmful obstacles. This is changing the environment to the human benefit. We interact with our environment in many different ways but sometimes we humans are forced to change our behavior because of the environment. On our trip we were forced to wear painful hiking boots because apparently we could twist our ankles on the roots and large rocks. We also experienced different hiking trails. You could tell that many of the paths were curvy and were made like that so hikers would not run into things or fall. This is an example of humans and the environment interacting with each other. There are actually many ways the environment and humans interact but these are the few that occurred many times on our trip to Mount Cardigan.
