This is an image of the different intertidal zones.

This is a drawing of a barnacle which can be found on rocks.

This drawing of a dog whelk. The dog whelk is a predatory sea snail.

The first zone is the black zone, the black zone is rocky and occasionally gets splashed by waves. here Cyanobacteria is found on the rocks. Second, the White zone whic is covered by barnacles, making it appear white. Next, the Brown zone. The brown zone is called the brown zone because it has many rockweeds annd water plants dominating this region. The zone after is the Red zone, which is covred with the red algae Irish Moss.

On our trip we explored the tidal regions and found many critters. Some critters that can be found in the tidal zones are lobsters, starfish, limpits, sea urchins, mussels, dog whelks and barnacles. Sea plants can located as well. The knotted wrack and rock weed are common plants. Irish moss can be sighted as well.
