On December 2nd, Christopher Columbus and his crew end up on Cuba, thinking he's in the islands of Asia to get spices and gold. While he's there, he finds new things that the natives have, tobacco, corn, hammocks, and more.


List Of Discoveries

1. Cuba and Other Islands - These are the islands that Chris and his crew ended up on.

2. Royal Palm Trees - These are trees that were new to Chris and his crew, as they did not grow in Spain.

3. Tobacco - This is a plant that was used by the natives, and given as gifts to travelers.

4. Green-Winged Macaws - Tropical birds that were found in the Caribbean.

5. Coral Reefs - An abundance of coral located in the shallow water off the coast of islands in the Caribbean.

6. Sweet Potatoes - A type of potato that is orange in color.

7. Yuca - Also known as "cassava", this tuber is like a potato and is grown in tropical areas.

8. Corn - Also known as "maize", used for many things.

9. Hammocks - Hanging beds of cloth that the natives slept on.

10. Peppers - Hot peppers that Columbus called "axi".
