This is my drawing showing the four different tidal zones at Odiorne State Park. The various colored circles represent what the rocks look like as you go nearer to the water there.


The "Black Zone" is where the rocks are often covered in cyanobacteria, (a black colored bacteria) and the "White Zone" is where barnicles live (a white crustacean) and then there is the Brown Zone is where various kinds of kelp live and finally the "Red Zone" is where Irish Moss often lives (a red colored moss)
