Summary:

World of Surprises was about how when Columbus got to Cuba he and his crew were astonished by the wonders that were native there. They found corn, royal palm trees, tobacco, Caribbean parrots, sweet potatoes, yuca, red chili, and the invention of the hammock. They thought for sure they were in Asia, what they didn’t know was they were on a small Caribbean island. He got samples of all of these wonders to bring back to Spain, to prove he went to Asia. He also kidnapped a few natives, also for proof. In conclusion Columbus found a lot of surprises on this new land.
