Location of Cardigan Mountain
Where is Cardigan mountain? There are two ways to show or tell location. One of them is called absolute location. Absolute location is the exact point on a map where something is located. For example Cardigan was located at 43 degrees, 38 minutes N 71 degrees, 54 minutes W .
The second kind of location is called relative location. Relative location is where something is based on where other things are. For example Cardigan mt. is 4 miles from newfound lake.
We saw a lot of things at Cardigan that were examples of physical geography. Some of them were all of the trees and animals that lived there. Some of the trees that we saw there were tiny pine trees others were tall maples. Another example of physical geography was all of the rocks we saw. For example we saw granite and quartz and mica.
We saw a lot of things at cardigan mountain that were examples of cultural geography. Some of them were the lodge and the trails, but some of the cultural geography was not that noticeable. For example the apple trees were grafted by humans. And some of the animals there were brought there by humans.
We were at Cardigan for three days, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Click each day for more info.
