Summary: In the article, 1492 The Voyage of Discovery Begins, Christopher Columbus sets out on three ships, from the Tintos river to the Canaries. Christopher was sent on this trip because of the Queen, she wanted more money. The people aboard the ships knew that they would also become rich as they found this land and took over. What the Queen really wanted most though, was more land that she could rule. Columbus was ordered to place a flag on the land as soon as he stepped foot, making the Queen the new ruler of this land of course. Christopher started this voyage on August 3, 1492. All crew members on these ships either were brought on by their own will, or came along for money. Knowing that they would become rich if they did go. Christopher Columbus brought these three ships, and ended up in the Canaries, were he did intend to go. Overall, Christopher Columbus brought three ships to go to the Canaries for money and the Queen.
