There are 2 different kinds of Location. There is relative location, and absolute location. Relevant location is in terms of other things.For exsample the Mt.Cardigan lodge is in Alexandria NH, It is located outside of Orange. It is about 43 ish miles from Hopkinton to Alexandria. And Absolute locations is when longitude and latitude is used. Both of these kinds of location describe where it is.
Outside of the lodge there is a pond, and a fire pit. the fire pit is about
The lodge at the bottom of Mt. Cardigan is a warm welcoming home-like place. Although the bunk rooms are hot at night a cold when you wake up, the hikes that come with the stay are all worth it.There are many hiking trails. Once you reach the waterfall's bottom, a forceful, constant shower of cool waters gush and exsploads over rocks, and falling into what looks like a bottomless lake. When the next day rolls around the blanket of dew seeps into your hiking boots. When you reach the stream the the wind brings the pitter patter of raindrops on your head. The rocks across the stream glistens as the sun hits them just right. On your hike back the pint sized princess pine and the hobble bush's act like a cheering crowd on the sidelines.
On all trails at Mt.Cardigan there are tons of trail markers painted in yellow. Along the trail sides there is a consistent amount of old cellar holes. Under the moss-covered rocks, fallen trees, and the fresh coat of multi colored autumn leafs. At the top of the cellar holes there is a lot of old granite- handmade stairs. Also there is a lot of old rusty buckets that are used to collect sap. Layered within the remains of an old hand crafted cellar hole. Also there are a ton of cut-down trees laid on their side almost bridge like.
We were there for 3 days, Wednesday (the bus day), Thursday (the big hiking day), Friday (the sad day when the bus can to take us home)
