Summary: who what when where why Christopher Columbus set sail in 1492 to travel to Asia. He thought that the earth included Europe, Asia and Africia. Christopher did not know the North America existed; but was soon to find out. Christopher wanted to travel to Asia because he had heard about the man Marco Polo who said that the roads were made of pure gold and there where unbeleivible riches in Asia. This caught Christophers attention, as it would most. Christopher wanted these riches, to well, become rich.
