I woke up after a good sleep, the results of all the hiking yesterday. I urged myself to get out of bed then go downstairs and wake myself up for the upcoming hike. I sat down on the couch next to the dining room, slowly sipping hot chocolate. After a breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatoes, and biscuits, we went outside to meet up with our counselors. They told us that today we were going to hike Cardigan and Firescrew mountain.

We met up with our counselors mine being at the campfire, and started our hike. We were told that we start by climbing Firescrew, then walk the summit and onto Cardigan. After 3 hours we had seen many trees, streams, and many other things, but we had finally made it to the top of Firescrew. After a little snack break we started again down the saddle and soon up Cardigan. When Hal and I reached the side of Cardigan, we were so excited we use the last of our energy to run to the top and join our friends. At the top you could make out the many regions such as the town of Orange. After a long but easy hike back down, we settled down to a dinner of lasagna and then went to sleep.
