The location of Cardigan Mountain is 43 degrees 39 minutes 14.21 seconds N and 71 degrees 52 minutes 40.72 seconds W. It is located just north of Merrimack and is located in both Alexandria and Orange, NH. Its elevation is 3,156 feet high. It is located towards the center of New Hampshire.

Cardigan Mountain has a lot of things that define it. The glacial striations on the bare rock summit were very unique. They were white and contrasted with the bare rock. They made Cardigan Mountain different from other bare-rock summits.

The AMC Lodge on Cardigan Mtn. was very neat. It had 4 floors, with 7 rooms on each of the top 2 floors. Each of the 14 rooms sleeps 4 or 5 people each. The bottom floor contains cubbyholes for shoes and the multipurpose room, and the second floor contains the cafeteria. It is very interesting and I would like to go back again.

We were there for three days, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
