Summary: This is about when Columbus landed on cuba druing his first voyage. He was very happy and relaxed and the same thing goes for his crew. They laid underneath the sun and the palm trees. This is not what Columbus wanted though. He was hoping for some gold or spices in the new world, but this was nice too. The natives showed him how to make more food and what was important on the Caribbean land. He learned more about the foods there like yuca and potatoes. They also discovered tobacco. This is not the tobacco that we are used to. Not the plant, but cigars. They roll up the leaves and they were very happy with that. Columbus said that most people should sleep in a hammock so that it is less dangerous in a war. This was some of the things that Columbus did on his first voyage to Cuba.
