The 7th grade went on a trip to Odiorne Park on May 25 to tidepool, and study the wildlife that we found. Many students found crabs, lobsters, large leaves of seaweed, and muscles. We stored them in a small tank that was brought by our science teacher so we could see their behavior across a small span of time.

Intertidal Space
The Black zone is just rocks that are covered in black cyanobacteria. Normally it would be cyan, or a kind of greenish-blue, however the one at Odiorne is black, and flaky. There isn't much seaweed, or any tidepools near the area, since it's too far away from the actual ocean.
there is the most variety of species in the red zone because that is where all the tidal pools are, which means lot of moss and seaweed, and lot of different creatures that are surviving off the tidal pools. Some examples are green crabs, muscles, lobsters, knotted wrack, rounded rockweed, irish moss, sea urchins, barnicles, and many others.
