For my second day at Cardigan we hiked Cardigan MT. I started my day by waking up and eating breakfast, then I went up stairs and got dressed for the long day ahead. Then I met up with my group and counselor and we talked about what trails we were going to hike. We ended up climbing Firescrew and down Cardigan. Although it was really steep going up Firescrew it was still really fun. At some points we were on our hands and knees climbing, once we got to the top it was all worth it. The view was beautiful, however it was nothing compared to the view from Cardigan. We had to hike a bit more to get to the top of Cardigan. When we got to the top and we could see everything it was so pretty. We saw other mountains in the distance and lakes, rivers, ponds, and even houses. We all sat down and sketched. We also watched Cooper and Ollie eat grass and act like mountain goats. Then we started going down. We eventually got back to the lodge and we all got showered and ready for bed. We then ate dinner and had a bit more free time and then went outside for a campfire. Each group did a small skit about what not to do while hiking. Our group split up our skits, Cooper and Ollie were mountain goats. Then we all listened to a story and went to bed. Even though hiking was really long, it was still really fun. While climing up the mountian we climed throug the alpine,boral,and not hardwood forset which is a good example of regions.
