Day one at Cardigan

On day One I arrived at cardigan and hiked to Welton Falls. The morning started with a shower and double checking my bags. Arter saying goodbye to my mom and a short car ride with my dad, the bus was going and soon everyone in session 1 was at Cardigan. We found the counselors on the green and played games like yeehaw with them, later we put our luggage in the mudroom, I deposited stuff that I didn't need in my day pack and when to the living room to find Shawn and the group discussing their names. Then we made the group contracts rules and a name for our group, The Red Dead Tumbling Fires. After going outside and drawing the AMC lodge our group was off to the Welton Falls, First we walked past a patch of cut down trees, then we stopped to draw something at an overlook. There I spotted a birch tree growing out of another tree and drew a firn, the next stop was another overlook but this time with a bigger drop, we stopped there for some time and Mr.Woolners group stopped with us and he even told us a story about the hemlock tree. The next stop was a big stream in the river that we had to parkour across, I think someone fell in but in but i'm not sure who, there I found a big piece of glass covered in moss. The last step to getting to Welton Falls was a super steep hill that I ran and jumped down (but still stayed behind shawn) to find the beautiful gorgeous strength of thousands of years of erosion turned into a ton of water flowing out of a cliff. When we got down there we saw a gigantic toppled over tree and Max the cool counselor taking science equipment out of his backpack wile Mr.Woolner was helping him organize the equipment it for the experiment that we were going to do. The hike back was quick and simple, and we soon found ourselves back where we started at the AMC lodge.

Mount. Cardigan is defined by the AMC lodge that is the starting point of all of the trails at Cardigan. Welton Falls is a scenic area around the base of Cardigan that can be described by the gigantic toppled over tree that sits at the bottom of the gorgeous waterfall. The summit of Cardigan Can be described by the out of use, graffiti smothered, sheet metal covered, fire tower.
