Our Amazing Last Day At Cardigan

Our third and final day at Cardigan was super fun. We started off the day by Mr. Woolner knocking on our door to wake us up. Once dressed, I headed downstairs to eat breakfast. Our breakfast was eggs, hash browns, and water. (Couldn’t remember the other thing). After breakfast, we started our last hike at Cardigan. My group went to Welton Falls. Welton Falls is an amazing body of calm water with a huge waterfall. The water flowed from a river that we had to cross over on the way to the waterfall. Then we took out our lunch, our sketch books, and found a nice spot to eat and sketch. My lunch consisted of a turkey sandwich with goldfish and an apple. At this point, we were all full and had a cool sketch of Welton Falls and so Shawn decided its time to head back to the lodge. On the way back, we stopped to sketch leaves and talk about an old basement of a house. Finally we arrived back at the lodge and began to pack up. Once I finished packing, we all gathered in the common area to thank the crew and say goodbye. Then we loaded our bags into Mr. Woolners trailer and hopped on the bus. As we were driving away we yelled goodbye one last time to the crew. After that me and my friends talked about the trip on the drive back to HMHS. We all concluded that Cardigan was the best field trip we had ever had the opportunity to go on and that it was so fun and amazing!

DAY THREE - Theme is Human Environment Interaction

We had to drive on roads that we created so we could go places like Cardigan. The weather made us dress in thick clothes to stay warm at Cardigan. The Amc lodge crew had to adapt to cold weather. There were trails to hike up Cardigan and Fire Screw.
