The Trip to Cardigan

Where is Cardigan mountain? Relative location MT.Cardigan is 11 miles north south of rumney. MT.Cardigan is also 7 miles from Newfound lake. MT.Cardigan is also located 3 miles from the town of Orange. Absolute location The latitude of Cardigan mountain is 43.6498 degrees N and the longitude is 71.9148 degrees W .

At MT.Cardigan there is a lot of rocks, trees and bodies of water. Almost all of the trees at MT.Cardigan are huge and at the time I was there every tree had the leaves/needles. Alot of the rock were covered in mushrooms and some of the mushrooms were edable. There was fast running shallow rivers all over the mountain. Some of the rivers had rock crossings along them so you could get across but others did not.

There is multible lodges you can stay in overnight along with many trails that you can hike on. While travaling on those trails you can find many man made structures such as stairs made with dirt aand roots from trees, there is also a hole with pillars that people have assumed to be a celler from a home or something that people used to live in.

We enjoyed Cardigan for 3 days. Wendesday Thursday Friday .
