It depends on whether we're talking about the lodge or the mountain itself. If we're talking about the lodge, it's North of Newfound Lake. The exact coordinates are 43,39,00,27, N & 71 52 38 59, W and the elevation is 1446 FT. Discussing the mountain, it is south from the lodge. The coordinates are 43,38,58,20, N 71 54 53 48, W 3117 FT.
Cardigan is by far the worst place i've ever gone. I wish I had never even stepped foot into such a treacherous place. First of, the lodge. The lodge is the only good place inside of the trash can, yet we could only be in it for a few hours each day. There was a peaceful library where you could sit down and relax. The living area was awfully comfortable despite the loudness. The deck was a good place to go and drink some hot coco and talk with friends. The bunk rooms may have been small and hot, but were a great place to rest after a long tretorouse day. Having said that, I can not say the same for the mountains. You start this seeming never ending journey by walking down a already sort of long trail. Then when you actually start walking on the trail you can find many cases of steep ledges that are utterly dangerous in every case. On this hike I found myself getting hurt multiple times, some of which I still have bruises. By the time we finally get to were we want to, we get 5 minutes to rest then we start the trail all over again going back. It was horrible and even my dad hated driving there.
I was there day one but no longer, Wensday, Thursday, friday.
