Theme of Regions
(Last updated December 1st 2022)
On day three of the cardigan trip, we woke up and made our way down stairs for breakfast. For breakfast we had eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and blueberry muffins. After having one of the last meals at Cardigan Mountain, everyone went back up stairs to get packed up and ready for the small hike. Later, after everyone was outside, we got into our groups and started our hike. My group went on the compass trail and saw an old car with bullet holes in it. As we were hiking there were many different kinds of trees. One of the trees that we saw was the Hemlock trees. In fact, at Cardigan Mountain there is a region of Hemlock trees, near the bases of the mountain. Everyone started eating their lunch on the trail and after we played a few games, one was camouflage and the other hide the pen. We got back to the lodge and got the rest of our stuff out of the lodge and on to the bus. We got on the bus and made our trip of 1.5 hours back to the school. All the kids were restless, tired, and wanting to get back home to see their parents and siblings. Overall the Cardigan trip was an amazing experience and I would definitely go back again.
