On Day 3 of the cardigan field trip, we once again returned and noticed some hemlocks, sketched them, and ate lunch afterwards. Once we ate lunch, our crew went to a Compass Course. It’s a very very pretty place with a waterfall, also known as the Welton Falls river. We sketched that as well. Moreover, on our way back to the lodge, we stopped along way and noticed some interesting looking small grayish-mushrooms growing on trees. They were edible! And some other crews ate it, just for fun. Moving on our way back to the lodge, we filled out a survey out of how much we enjoyed the Cardigan Field trip. We yelled at the AMC. It was sad to say goodbye, because since it was getting dark, we were going to leave soon. We then went inside the lodge, got dressed, and had a little break by relaxing outside. We then drank hot cocoa, and it was delicious. The Cardigan Field trip was very fun and interesting to experience. And I hope that we can experience these kind of field trips at a sooner expectation.
