As soon as I opened my eyes on the second day at cardigan I couldn't wait to go out and hike to the summit. After lots of music, magic, and games we went to eat an amazing breakfast. Once breakfast was over, which included some amazing muffins, we set out to get to the summit of Cardigan. We hiked for quite a while, sketching all the time, when finally we stopped to eat lunch. After lunch we were told that we weren't going to be able to summit! Everyone was very upset. So we hiked a little more and arrived at the start of the alpine zone, where we sketched and listened to a story with another group. Once the story had ended and the other group left Mr. Woolner talked our counselors into letting us summit! We all cheered and were extremely eager to finish so we ran up to the top. When we got back to the lodge we were all very happy that we were able to summit, thanks to Mr. Woolner.
Regions
There were a lot of regions at Cardigan on day two. On the way up the mountain there was a beautiful area of lots of spruce, birch, moss, and ferns. All of these plants combined resulted in a very shady green area. Another region at Cardigan was the summit. It was mostly bare rock but it also had some Mountain Ash and some spruce. This resulted in a huge area with a great view of the surrounding area. Those are all of the regions at Cardigan.
