Day Two at Cardigan:Movement

     The second day at Cardigan Mountain had a lot of hiking in store for us. We started the day off with some free time. For most of my free time, I just hung out in the common area. Then, we all had breakfast. Breakfast was blueberry muffins, eggs and sausage. After breakfast, we met up with our groups at our meeting spot. There we discussed what our plans were for the day. When we finished our discussion we headed out to start our hike. On our hike up Cardigan Mountain we did a lot of sketching. About halfway up the Mountain, my group stopped at PJ ledge and sketched the view. A little ways away from PJ ledge, was the high cabin. There, my hiking group stopped and ate lunch. For lunch I had a ham and cheese sandwich. Then we continued our hike up the mountain. We were almost at the summit, when we stopped and listened to our hiking guide read a story about the history of the mountain. We then finished the hike to the top of the mountain. At the summit, we sketched the views, and also sketched a plaque that someone had carved into the mountain. We arrived at the AMC lodge about two hours later. I then talked with my hiking group. After a short discussion with my hiking group, free time began. During free time, I played cards with some of my friends. Once freetime was over, dinner, which was hamburgers, was served. Some of the workers then performed a skit, and brought out dessert. Dessert was molasses cookies. After a long exhausting day of hiking, I packed up all of my stuff, and left.

     Day two reminded me of movement. This is because we wore gear that had moved from one place to another. Also, Ideas traveled from other places around the world to build an Amc lodge, and ideas from Mount Cardigan traveled to other places. Another idea that had gotten to Cardigan Mountain, was to build handicapped trails. They then inspired other people to build trails like this as well. For breakfast we had bluberry muffins which had come from other places from around the world. The Amc lodge then disposed the food waste which traveled to other parts of the world.
