Description of Cardigan

Place: A really, really good description

Physical Geography!:

At Cardigan there were many mountains. They were rocky, very steep, and big. The main mountain was Cardigan Mountain. At the bottom, there were all different kinds of trees. There were Hemlock, White Ash, different types of maple, etc. There were towering trees with tremendously big branches. Furthermore, there were smaller trees that you could reach the top off. Some trees had spiky pine needles, while others had leaves that you could use if you needed to go to the bathroom. As we climbed and climbed some more we passed rivers and streams. They were amazing! You could hear the water flowing downstream, hitting rocks on the way. Some parts of the rivers were faster, some slower. As we got further to the top, it started to get steeper and more rocky. Eventually, we got to the top. There was an amazing view of the landscape. Cardigan Mountain was everything I imagined it would be and more.

Cultural Geography!:

When we were at Cardigan, there were not many people. Of course, there was us, the 7th Graders, and the consolers. Also, there were the teachers and the chaperones. But other than that there were not many people at all. Once in a while we would see a few people hiking the mountain. Everyone spoke english, but our counselor, Max, told us he could speak three different languages. The three languages were, English, German, and Latin. The food at Cardigan was incredible! On the first day they made spaghetti and meatballs which smelt as if they had been kissed by an angel. Then they brought out the garlic bread and when I took a bite out of it, it felt like I had just taken a bite out of heaven. Just when I thought it could not get any better they brought out the brownies. I could smell them from across the room. I savored every single bite of that brownie. The next day for breakfast they had eggs and sausage and a blueberry muffin. I do not like blueberries, but when I tried the blueberry muffin I could not stop eating it. For Dinner that night we had salad and burgers. The salad was good, but the burgers were delicious. They were some of the best burgers I have had in a long time: Perfectly cooked just the way I like it. Finally, for breakfast the next morning we had eggs, bacon, and a makeshift apple crisp. The apple crisp type thing was so good I had to get seconds. Again, one of the best breakfast meals I have ever had. Cardigan was filled with the nicest people and the best food.

We were at Cardigan on Wednesday (Day 1) , Thursday (Day 2) , and Friday (Day 3).
