On the third and final day, my friends woke me up, and I wanted to go back to sleep, but I could not. So all of us went downstairs and there we had hot cocoa, french toast casseroles, and hashbrowns for breakfast. While, we were eating the delicious breakfast we were talking about how fun it has been here, but we also can not wait to go home. Afterward, we got ready to go on our final hike. I packed up my daypack like I normally do, put on my hiking boots that I brought from home to Cardigan. Then my group headed toward the woods. After a little bit on the trail, we came across a waterfall, Mr. Woolner called the waterfall Welton Falls. He also told us that the name cardigan came from Scotland, which I thought was pretty cool. The group stayed there for a rather long time, discussing what trees we saw and stories about hemlock trees. Later, after the stories were done, we eat lunch on rocks, most kids had sandwiches for lunch, and I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, it was good. When people were done eating, we set off back down the trails to the AMC Lodge. Once we got back inside, we had to pack up our belongings to head home. Immediately, after everyone was packed up we put all of our stuff in Mr. Woolners' trailer and got on the bus to go home. On the bus, we talk most of the time, and before we knew it the bus pulled up to the school, where our parents were waiting.
