My Crazily Amazing First Day at Cardigan

Cardigan was amazing with the view and the awesome hikes. On day one we were greeted by the AMC staff and played games. After that we went inside and had to fill out a form. Then we ate lunch and put into hiking groups. Following that we were aloud to go up to our bunk rooms and unpack. In my bunk room I had Max, Chet, and Henri. After we got unpacked and dressed for hiking we went down to our meeting spots where we saw who was in our group. While we were down there we wrote down our goals and assigned jobs like pace setter and water reminder. And then we were off. We first arrived at Dukes meadow were we sketched the firepit and surrounding area. Then we started our compass course. We went all over the meadow looking at landmarks that the compass course took us on. For example, we found an old abandoned car and a old stone wall that used to be used for farming. When we finished the compass course we went onto the nature loop. We sketched pretty much everything we saw like shelf mushrooms and hobble bush. After that we went inside the lodge to play games and drank hot cocoa. After some time went by it was time for dinner. For dinner we had Spaghetti with Meatballs with breadsticks and salad. After dinner we went up and got ready for bed. Them Mr. Woolner read us all a story and then it was off to bed. We chatted for about an hour then we dozed off to bed.

Regions at Cardigan - Cardigan has many regions. One region is the bare rock region. An example of this region is the top of a cardigan which is made of granite and some quartz. Another example of regions could be the giant Cardigan State Forest.
