On Day two we got to hike Cardigan. Mr. Woolner Woke us up and I knew today was going to be a good day. I got dressed for hiking then went downstairs for breakfast. For breakfast we had eggs, bacon, tater tots, and a combination of french toast and cake which was delicious. After breakfast we met up with our hiking groups in our meeting areas. We went over our goals and came up a group name. Then the hike began. We made our first stop over a bridge and did stick races down the little stream. As we moved along the trails we stopped to sketch and highdrate. Later on the trail we came across one of the most dangerous hiking trails in all of New England called Holt Trail. And then we reached the summit. At the summit we ate a delicious lunch which was a sandwich, apple, and gummies. When we finished we took pictures and then we started the trip down. The trip down was a lot harder than going up. It was steep and wet with lots of rocky terrain. There wasn't as much sketching on day two but when we came up to a giant rock with a little steam coming out of the bottom we knew we had to stop and sketch. After that we finished up the hike. We got changed and ready for dinner. Dinner was burgers and salad. We finished the night off with some games and a story, and then it was off to bed.
Human/Environment interaction - There are many examples of human/environment interaction at Cardigan. An example would be the fire tower on the top of Cardigan Mountain which was used to spot fires in the valley. Another example could be the AMC Cardigan Lodge which is where we stayed during our trip to Cardigan.
