During the Odiorne trip the first hing we did when we got there after a very long bus ride was go down to the rocks and take a look at the animals like crabs hermits crabs and other animals. Second thing I did with my friends was go up and eat half of my lunch then went with my friends and played wiffle ball. Then we went back in the water for a lilttle bit longer then on the way back on the bus we stoped at johnsons we got ice cream then headed home.
The splash zone is where the rocks are covered with crabs and have lots of bacteria on the rocks to make them all black. It is called the splash zone because this is where the rocks meet the water and why all the animals like it there to hide under the rocks and it is also where all the shells are for the hermit crabs and other animals.
The white zone is known for having all the barnacles there and that is why it is called the white zone because the barnacles make the rocks have little spots on them that are barnacles. Barnacles are very strong and they have this bisel string that keeps it together and that singular sting is stronger than steel for protection. This zone is also covered in bacteria which keeps the rocks black.
I think the most variety is in the Brown zone becasue it has rockweed and has bacteria all over it and 50% of the rock is usaully and the rockweed cover a lot of the rock and it hold a lot of the animals becasue of the rocked and how deep it is into the water and the animals like the rockweed to hind from humans and predators.
