On May 25, 2023, the seventh grade went on a field trip to Odiorne Point. At Odiorne, they explored the sea life and caught different creatures. Not only did the seventh graders learn about the sea life, but also about the intertidal zones.
The White Zone
Barnacles, here, there,
As far as the eye can see,
Attached to all rocks.
The Red Zone
Past the red seaweed,
An endless amount of sea,
Careful! Slippery.
I think that the most variety of sea life would be found in the red zone. This is because the red zone is closest to the water, so it has tide pools in which creatures that need to be in water can live in. However, there are also dry places for snails, crabs, etc.. In addition, the red zone is where sea weed grows densely. This makes great for creatures to find cover in. So, you could find a variety of sea life here.
