Third Day

On day three of cardigan we did a little hiking, and a compass course so that we could all use a compass if we got lost. First, as usual, I got dressed ate breakfast and waited for everyone else to get ready before we met up into our hiking groups for the last time. We did a few more activities than usual then we started hiking before our compass course. We wandered around the small pond near the lodge and entered a trail. We sketched and did a few sketches before turning back for lunch. When we got near enough to the water, we sketched the small pond, marked a checkpoint on the GPS, and went to where we would be doing our compass course in the field called Duke's Meadow. There we learned how to use a compass before going on a wild goose chase to find an old rusty car for our last sketch of the trip. To end the day we walked back down to the lodge, filled out a survey, got onto the bus, and went back home.

Human Evironment Interaction

Human environment interaction is when humans change something in nature or interact with nature. When we build things we are usually cutting down trees, and digging into the ground which is an example of human environment interaction. Some more examples of human environment interaction are the trails and fields on cardigan. Also, the man made pond, the cardigan mountain AMC lodge, and the roads to cardigan are all examples of human environment interaction.
