My Mom drove me to the high school early in the morning. It was cold and foggy and not a lot of people were there yet. My Mom driving me to the high school is an example of human environment interaction because the car produces gas emissions and that affects the environment. We then put my gear into the trailer and I said goodbye to my mom. I then got onto the bus. The bus drove us to the AMC lodge. When we got to Cardigan, I saw solar panels in the lawn. This is an example of human environment interaction because humans put the solar panels out to produce energy with the sun, which is more beneficial and healthier to the environment. We were put in hiking groups and had little mini lessons. One thing we learned was that a fire was set on Firescrew mountain that got out of control. This is human environment interaction because the fire that the humans set made it so Firescrew and Cardigan have bare rock tops. We then hiked a small trail to Welton Falls. At the falls, there was a metal wire fence. This is an example of human environment interaction because the area beyond the fence was not entered by humans, it was left alone. Lastly, in the night time, we communicated with owls. This is an example of human environment interaction because we are starting an owl conversation. On Day 1, there were many examples of human environment interaction, my Mom driving me to the school, the solar panels, the fire on firescrew, the fence at Welton Falls, and owl conversations are just a few examples of the many things that were an example of human environment interaction.
