Relative: Cardigan is located in the Northern Hemisphere, in the USA, in New Hampshire, and in the town of Orange. It is to the north of Hopkinton, NH, and to the west of Newfound Lake. Absolute: From the summit of Firescrew Mt., a mountain right next to Cardigan and inside of the Cardigan state forest is N 43 degrees 39 minutes 19.9 seconds W 71 degrees 54 minutes 37.7 seconds and the elevation is 3067 ft.

The place of Cardigan is unique because of some of its physical attributes such as Cardigan Mountain were you can find a Northern Hardwood forest. On Cardigan there are many plants such as golden thread as well. There is also Welton Falls where you can observe how the rock was cut out from the movement of the water over time. There is a pond too in front of the AMC lodge where Dragon Nymphs and Water scorpions can be found.

The cultural attributes of Cardigan include the AMC lodge where hikers can stay. There are trails for hikers as well up the mountain(s). The people who work at the lodge include the crew, and the head chef won the best innkeeper award in 2016. There food is very good and tasty. There is also an old fire tower at the top of Cardigan Mountain. These are a few cultural attributes that make Cardigan, NH special.

We were at Cardigan for three days. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
