Green Group

On Wednesday we got on the bus and started to go up to the Cardigan lodge. It was a long drive. And loud. And bumpy. It is movement because we were going from Hopkinton High School to Mt. Cardigan. Also Mr. Woolner had a GPS in his car that tracked where we were going. When we get there after about an hour, we got our stuff and brought it to our rooms.we go down the stairs to go outside. When we get outside we get into a circle. The group leaders started to introduce themselves. They talked about where their from like my group leader was from Wisconsin. That is also movement. Then we play games. They announce the people in each group and then we get started.

We go hiking to Welton Falls. On the way there we did a lot of sketching. When we get to the steam that at the end of is Welton Falls, we stopped for a snack break. There was also another group who were with us by the stream. Mr. Woolner brought both groups together and told us the story of the Hemlock trees. When we get to Welton Falls we see the waterfall and we also saw how the rocks were eroding from all the waters force. The rocks were perfectly smooth.

We hike back to the lodge and have free time. The whole session hung out down by the dining area. When it's time for dinner, one hiking group sets the tables, which was my group. After dinner we get ready for a night hike. My group was blind folded and was lead through the forest to a small spot in the forest. We sit down in a circle and our group leader tells us a story about pirates. We hike back to a clearing by the lodge. We spread out in the grass and look up at the stars. We go back inside and get our pjs on and head down stairs and Mr. Woolner reads us stories. After that we go to bed.
