Green Group
It was time to get up. It was still dark out but light enough to see the silhouette of the trees. I’m on the bottom bunk, which is not very nice because you forget that your there and you hit your head on the bunk above you. That’s what happened to me. It was a “nice” way to wake up. When I head down stairs we hang out for a little bit and then have breakfast. For breakfast we have beacon, eggs, and blueberry muffins. Then we make our lunches and head out to start the day.
We get outside and we do a small game and start to hike Firescrew. We do little scavenger hunts and riddles on the way up. We do some sketching of trees and leaves. We do snack breaks where we have cheese, cheese-its, fruitstrips, etc. We get to the summit of firescrew and eat lunch. We could see all the mountains in the region. While we eat our lunch, some fog rolls in. We watch Mt. Cardigan disappear into the fog. When we finished up our lunch someone in our group split trail mix all over the side of the mountain. So we all helped and cleaned up the trail mix. Our group leader said it's good to leave no trace behind, so we don't harm anything.
When we were talking we decided we weren't going to go up to Mt. Cardigan. Our group leader gave us oreos and we started down the mountain. The time went by quickly and we got to the lodge. When we got into the lodge and got settled in we had free time. During free time all of us got hot chocolate. It was nice because it was cold outside. I play card games until dinner. For dinner we had sloppy joes, pulled pork, pulled chicken, and salad. For dessert we had ice cream. That night we had a campfire and we sang and told stories. After that, Mr. Woolner read us stories. Then we went to bed.
