Day 1 During Ryan's Awesome Cardigan Mountain Trip

On day 1, when we left home, I didn’t want to leave. But when we got there, I was really excited.

Anyway, there were five (5) different regions at Cardigan Mountain. I am going to order them from the smallest region to the largest region: Brown, Forest Legacy Tract, Welton Falls State Forest, AMC Cardigan Reservation, and the Cardigan Mountain State Forest.

The entire session 1 group played some games while we were registered. My favorite was a pirate game. Once we were registered, we went to our rooms and put down our stuff. Then I went to meet my hiking group. We went on a super fun hike. One of my hiking mates spotted a black bear cub behind us. We also spotted a snake. We did a mystery tree activity.Then we returned to the lodge. I took a shower during my hour of free time. Then we all listened to a story about Black Beard. When we went to bed, I couldn’t sleep. So I organized my duffel bag and slept on the floor. The floor was comfier than the bed.

I saw these "Airpod Mushrooms" on a rock while hiking on day 1.

Someone in my hiking group spotted a black bear cub.

My hiking group did a Mystery Tree activity at the end of the hike.

Sombody in my hiking group spotted a snake in a bush.
