Would I go up Cardigan Mountain again? Cardigan was definitely a trip to remember, with the amazing views, the painful blisters on your feet, I know I will never forget the experience I had while I was at Cardigan Mountain. The first thing I noticed when I went into the building was that the entire thing had a cozy cottage feel. The little tables provided just enough PAZAS and looked clean. The next thing I noticed was the seating area. A big long couch was spread out across the back wall, and a modern yet gorgeous fireplace was a nice touch. We also went to Welton Falls, a loop hike that has about a 45 foot drop, and only a rail that was on the ground stopped you from falling, which looked about 30 years old. A unique fallen tree provided us with a seat as we admired the view of the small river, which was more comfortable than any part bench they could manage to put down by the river. The source of the magnificent waterfall is Fowler river, a medium sized river that dumps all that water into the gorgeous 45 foot deep gorge. The water covered the walls, but the scariest thing was that the water below looked pitch black. With 15 feet of water, fear was met with awe. When we got back, we had spaghetti, vegetables, salad, and bread. Cardigan Lodge has definitely enhanced my education in geography!
