What I Did on Day Two

On day two it was our first and only full day at the AMC lodge and our big hiking day. We hiked to Mount Firescrew and then to Mount Cardigan. On the way to the mountains, we got Plant Professor cards. Our goal was to find our plant and be a professor about it while on the hike. I got the Indian Cucumber card and we got to taste it on day three. Before our guide gave out the cards we got to choose a tree to sketch in an area and write a poem about it. Farther up, we sketched a stream and other things alone the way, like a huge rock. After eating lunch at Firescrew, we sketched the mountain range and learned you can see Mount Washington from the summit. Additionally, we hiked to Mount Cardigan from Firescrew and took a group picture. The hike from the AMC lodge to the mountains are examples of movement because it is the movement of people to Mount Cardigan from the AMC lodge or the movement of people from Mount Cardigan to the AMC lodge. Either one is an example of movement. On the hike down we sketched lichen and talked about what it is. We also were the first group back from Cardigan and played a fun game. Therefore, that was what we did on day two.
