"ajlkdjfkaj The relative location of the Cardigan Lodge is west of Mount Cardigan and north west of Mount Firescrew. The lodge is in Alexandria, NH. To the south of it is a dirt parking lot that comes out from a dirt road to the east called Shem Valley River road. To the north is woods with hiking trails and a private lodge. In the opposite direction of Mount Firescrew, north east, their are solar panels were the lodge gets most of its energy from. To the south west is a pond and to the south east are woods with more hiking trails. Therefore that is the relative location of Cardigan Lodge.The absolute location of the Cardigan Lodge is 43 degrees 38 minutes 59.1 seconds N, latitude with a longitude of 71 degrees 52 minutes 41.2 seconds W. You can also display this in decimal degrees. Displayed in decimal degrees it would be about 43.649814 degrees N, latitude, with a longitude of -71.877945 degrees W. Therefore that is the absolute location of the Cardigan Lodge.
PHYSICAL PARAGRAPH: Cardigan Mountain area has very nice scenery. On the trails it is a two-people-wide pathway with beautiful trees with green leaves in the summer and spring, orange,red, and yellow leaves in fall, and no leaves in winter. There are many rocks on the trail which adds to the amazing scenery. Other than the trees, along the trails are various kinds of plants. Some are Indian Cucumbers which can be a delicious crunchy snack if you dig one up that is ripe enough. In addition, you can find various streams and even some waterfalls. Both of those make excellent picture-taking spots. These numerous trails make great learning experiences too. You can learn about the glaciers long ago, the many producers, decomposers, and consumers, and about the history of Cardigan Mountain and the fire that happened. The best time to hike is either on a nice cool summer day or a warm fall or spring day.
CULTURAL PARAGRAPH: Alone the many trails you can see many signs of human life such as the trails themselves. You can also see numerous paint marks slashed onto trees or rocks. Additionally, you may see campsites in the first few minutes of the hike with bear safe storage boxes and/or a fire pit. Also, you can see wood bridges as part of some trails or a rock or wood staircase up a steep part of a trail. When you finally make it to the top of Cardigan you can see a firetower, something humans built. Lastly, you may hear or see cars from close-by roads or the Cardigan lodge or the High Cabin.
