Relative location:
Mount Cardigan is located about 35 miles north-west from Hopkinton NH and is just east from the town of Orange. It is also west of the AMC lodge. Nearby is Welton falls state forest which is north-east from Mount Cardigan.

Mount Cardigan is located at exactly 43 degrees, 38 minutes,4.2 seconds, north and 71 degrees, 54 minutes, 31.2 seconds, west
Physical:
At Cardigan there were many things, like Cardigan Mountain and different types of plants. When we went on our trip to Cardigan I got to see Cardigan mountain, and Fire Screw. Fire Screw was a bit smaller than Cardigan, and has an interesting past. Fire Screw got its name from a fire that took place many years ago, and left the top of the mountain bare rock. The top of Mount Cardigan is also bare rock and is even higher than Fire Screw. Another cool thing was all of the different plants. There were many different types of trees, like the Hemlock, Aspen, Birch, and many many more. We also saw other things like partridge berries and cucumber roots. At Cardigan we saw so many cool things, like all of the different plants, and we learned so much.
Cultural:
When we went to Cardigan everyone was so nice and helpful. The people that worked at the AMC lodge were amazing and so kind. When we passed people on the trails they would always say hello and ask us where we were from. AMC was even working on making a trail that was wheelchair accessible. people from all over would come and hike at Cardigan and now I know why.
