Where is Cardigan?
The absolute location of Cardigan AMC Lodge is 43 degrees, 38 minutes, and 59.0 seconds North. 71 degrees, 52 minutes, and seconds 40.54" West. The elevation is 1389 ft.
The relative location of Mount Cardigan is about 3 miles East from Orange, and 6 1/2 miles from the town of Alexandria. Mt Cardigan is 17 miles East from Lebanon, and just West of Newfound Lake.
A physical geography description of Cardigan is that it is a mountain. It has a variety of trees, waterfalls, streams, rocks, grass, moss, plants, and lakes surrounding it.
A cultural geography description of Cardigan is that it has many trails, going up and down the mountain made for hikers. Also that there is a lodge nearby with a manmade lake. At the summit of Cardigan mountain there is a fire tower, and a small cabin down the trail. Along the trails there are many bridges to cross rivers and streams. Also there are cairns made by hikers to guide other hikers when the trail isn't visible in fog.
We were there for three days, Sunday , Monday , and Tuesday .
